Programs & Events

Get your walking shoes ready!

Ottawa County is home to many of Ohio's most breathtaking views and natural spaces, and the Outdoor Hiking Challenge is giving you the chance to see them all AND earn a prize!

Use the form to record and complete 9 out of 13 Ottawa County hiking destinations by Dec. 5, 2024, to earn a cozy Campfire Mug to warm you up with a soothing beverage on those cold days to come. Take the Challenge up a notch and join scheduled Guided Walks throughout the fall season! Our line-up allows you to hike the restricted-access area of Lakeside Daisy State Nature Preserve, tour the historic district of Lakeside Chautauqua, learn about monarch butterflies and their migration, and more!

See a full schedule of Guided Walks here.
